ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Mary Pat Kanaley is an award-winning author/illustrator, former publishing art director, and passionate educator with over a decade of classroom experience. She holds a Master’s in Teaching, with a thesis focused on integrated and differentiated curriculum for the elementary classroom, along with endorsements in Art, Math, and Science.
 

A member of SCBWI, Mary Pat is both traditionally and self-published, with novels and multiple picture books to her credit. Most recently, she co-created a Spokane Arts Grant-funded picture book now adopted across all six Spokane-area school districts. She is enthusiastic about helping creators develop curriculum-connected materials that get books into schools, libraries, and districts.
