REFUND POLICY

If you need to withdraw from class or event, here are your options:


All Classes (Online)

For a refund or credit, you must contact us no less than two business days before your class starts. You can either choose to hold a full credit with us good for one year on other TOC events OR you can opt for a refund less a $25 administrative fee.

Flash Summits and Meet-Ups (1 Day Events)

For a refund or credit on a Flash Summit or 1-Day Meet-Up, you must contact us no less than two full weeks prior to event date. You can either choose to hold a full credit with us good for one year on other TOC events OR you can opt for a refund less a $50 administrative fee.

In the event that a verifiable emergency comes up the same day as the event and you are unable to attend, we will issue a full credit toward a future TOC event good for up to one year, minus a $50 administrative fee.


Summits and Mini-Summits (2 and 3 Day Events)

For a refund or credit on a Summit or Mini-Summit, you must contact us no less than one month prior to the event date.


You can either choose to hold a full credit with us good for one year on other TOC events OR you can opt for a refund less a $50 administrative fee.


In the event that a verifiable emergency comes up the same day as the event and you are unable to attend, we will issue a full credit toward a future TOC event good for up to one year, minus a $50 administrative fee

Cancellations and Rescheduling by TOC

Should TOC need to cancel an event (cancellation will be defined as an event that is not rescheduled for more than 30 days from the original event date), you will be immediately refunded the full cost of the event.  


Should TOC need to reschedule an event (meaning that the event will take place within 30 days of the original event date, you will have the option to either attend the event on the new date, hold a full credit with us good for one year on other TOC events OR you can opt for a refund less a $25 administrative fee.


A few more things

  • Credits are valid for one year and cannot be changed into refunds down the road.
  • Simply not attending class or notifying the instructor does not mean you've officially withdrawn.
  • Some exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis for medical emergencies with a doctor's note.
  • Refunds may take up to two weeks to process.

Please understand, we can't issue a refund after classes have started, even if you miss your first class. Similarly, we can't offer you a credit one day before your second class or after that. We understand that other obligations get in the way of attending class, but these policies allow us to get other interested authors into class early enough to have a good experience, and this allows us to offer our classes at a reasonable price.


Important Notes

  • All registered attendees to any TOC event will receive a link to a video replay within 72 hours after the event
  • Substitutes may be assigned to classes or inserted as alternate speakers at Summit events. Such instances will not entitle registered attendees to a refund.
  • Auditing and the recording of classes or events are not allowed.
  • TOC reserves the right to remove any attendee to any event at our discretion.
  • TOC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, disability, socioeconomic status, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, age, or marital status.
  • Our events are intended to provide instruction that will result in the student's acquisition of occupational skills and/or knowledge. We do not guarantee any measure of success in any field, trade or industry based upon the information gathered during our events.
